What is UCSD Zimride?

Zimride is a fun and easy way to share the seats in your car or catch a ride. With Zimride, you can find UCSD friends, classmates, and coworkers going the same way you are. More than 4,800 UCSD affiliates have signed up securely since 2010.

Who can use this site?

Zimride is the private rideshare community for UCSD. Zimride requires a UCSD PID / email and password to gain access.

Have a car? Need a ride?

UCSD Zimride helps you offer or request rides for commutes, road trips, and popular events. If you have a car, split costs by offering rides. If you do not have a car, find rides where you need to go.

Are rides only shared with UC San Diego?

When adding a ride, you can decide if you would like to share your ride with:
1) Only UC San Diego
2) UC San Diego + "Trusted Partners"
3) All Zimride networks (public)

If you decide to share a ride with someone in the UCSD network, we suggest you also ask who else will be joining the ride. If you only wish to share a ride with a member of the UCSD network, please confirm that the ride poster has not shared his or her ride with someone from the public network, or any place that can be viewed outside the UCSD network (i.e. bulletin boards, craigslist). Carpool matching services can be of assistance to those who want to form or expand a carpool. Participants are solely responsible for determining whether or when it is appropriate to meet with or share personal information with a potential carpool partner.
